A pewter tankard is a traditional gift for all occasions. This tankard looks good as it is, with a classic shape and a handle which feels good to hold. It is also a perfect design for engraving a message on. When writing is added, the lines frame the text beautifully.
England, and particularly Sheffield is world famous for pewter and this is where this tankard is made. The manufacture of pewter dates back hundreds of years in the UK. The modern material is safe to drink out of, although this was not always true. Read our helpful page on how to clean pewter so that you can keep your tankard in perfect working order.
The traditional capacity for beer is measured in the old imperial measures, and our tankards are still made using these sizes. This tankard holds 1 pint, the traditional measure for beer, which is between 500 ml and 600 ml. This design is available in a ½ pint size too. You could have a matching pair for different drinks, or different drinkers.
Your tankard will be well wrapped and is delivered in a plain cardboard box. However, if it’s for a very special present, you may want to add a presentation box. This makes your tankard ready to hand over.
